A scoreboard freeze is a method to keep the final contest standings/results for a contest a surprise.

To add to the surprise of the contest results a one hour freeze of scoreboard updates can be done. During this freeze time runs are submitted and judged but only limited information is presented to the teams and spectators.

There are two ways this can be done:

  1. Have a public scoreboard web page and stop updating those page(s)
  2. Provide a limited information about any runs submitted within the freeze time

The limited information shows runs as Pending (yellow) rather than solved (green) or not solved (red).
